Gus and the crew knocked it out of the park again one of our 08 4Runners with a 1/4 million miles. They lucked out on the dirty job of replacing the knock sensors, one of which was bad so it wouldn't pass smog. If you know, you know everything comes off the top of the block to get to that ridiculously positioned sensor. They not only replaced the sensors, but cleaned up and repaired up rat-shredded wires and debris. Fast forward two days, smog is passed, and we're happy as ever! Thank You! Ken

I noticed a piece of plastic cover hanging from under my car and wasn’t sure how to remove/what to do with it. I pulled over to Academy Automotive after work and Gus was so helpful! He explained that it’s a common occurrence and non-damaging to the car to remove it. Within 10 min, he had my car pulled in, went under my car and cut off the hanging plastic cover. Gus is so respectable, honest and friendly, also providing speedy service! At the end of it, he was kind enough not to charge me for the service, but I’ll definitely be back as a paying client the next time my car needs work. Highly recommend Academy Automotive!

I had to have my rear bumper repaired and repainted... I was referred to academy automotive n' I couldn't be more pleased !!! They were totally professional, courteous n' pro ! My car was done right on time to perfection i may add.. There guys are Great! A success story. Gus @ Academy rebuilt my 2003 F150 4x4 Supercrew XLT. I've owned this truck since new. It's had a hard life working movie after movie and since I still love the truck, it was time. On Gus’ suggestion, we repainted it in a Mercedes blue/silver. Took off the bed, doors, hood, tailgate- refreshed the entire under carriage even color matched the tank! I wish I could load pictures here, it's absolutely stunning. The entire drivetrain was redone- motor, trans, diff @ suspension & exhaust. Rebuilt the seats, carpet and added seat heaters. We used as much of the old systems as we could to save money. Gus has a great sense for these things! Ran into a few problems along the way like the first new motor being bad and a cracked header but Gus persevered and has stuck with me as we shake it down to get it right. Gus was a friend before we started and we are still friends today. Thanks Academy for my new/old truck!

Bryce, Jessie and Winston run a great shop. We started using them for our fleet service on our work trucks. They are very thorough and efficient on their work. Academy Automotive saved me the time, money, and hassle that would have been involved had I taken my car to the dealership to have my AC fixed.
