I cannot recommend Academy Automotive 805 enough. I brought my 2011 Camaro in to have both headlight assemblies replaced. I was unsuccessful at 3 other shops, including the dealership (due to the uncertainty of obtaining the parts needed). Gus not only facilitated in sourcing out the accurate parts, but completed the job in less time than anticipated and a fraction of the anticipated cost. I'm planning on going back to have my catalytic converters replaced and referring everyone I know. -Very Satisfied Customer

Gus treated me fairly and showed me what needed to be done and then showed me what work was done when it was finished. You come here you are talking to the owner, not some service writer. There is something to be sad about being able to talk to the man or woman in charge and they can look you In the eyes and stand by their work or the work of their employees. Old school type business is something that is missing nowadays and my experience here was refreshing. I can see me developing a long term relationship with this business and then being my go to shop for anything automotive.

After they took my car on a test drive and then inspected it, Gus insured me that everything is safe and it's running as it should. Five stars is not remotely sufficient to give Academy Automotive (805) and they're outstanding service. We discovered Academy Automotive through Google reviews and those Google reviews did not lead us astray. This repair shop has earned every single one of those five star reviews. When our car unexpectedly broke down, I looked on Google for a nearby service center that could deal with possible catalytic converter issues and Academy Automotive came up. Based on all of their five-star reviews, I decided to take a chance. What was so great about Academy Automotive was that you could drop your car off after hours and leave a key in a drop box and then they would touch base with you the next day. This was our exact experience. Gus and company were very understanding to our situation and even though our repair was going to be extremely expensive, we were treated very fairly the entire time. Gus even goes as far as to show you the parts that he's replaced so that you know and can see that they needed to be replaced. Our car was so problematic that we have visited Gus four times over the past month and each time we have been treated fairly and with outstanding customer service. Not once have I ever felt like the moron bringing their car into the mechanic. Gus takes his time to explain what's wrong with your vehicle and you feel very reassured that your vehicle is good hands. We actually live in Ventura and from now on will happily have our car towed to Academy Automotive in order for Gus to service it. That's how much we appreciate the professionalism, customer service and courtesy that Academy Automotive provided us. Highly, highly recommend you use this auto mechanic.
